Amalgam

2017

Amalgam is a series of carafes created for the arak drink, a Levantine alcoholic spirit in the anise drinks family, combining two vessels containing one the arak and the other water. The set highlights the alchemy of the mixture in a seemingly magical process when pouring both liquids simultaneously from a two-part carafe resulting in the blending of the transparent alcohol and the water into an instantly translucent milky-white color beverage.

/ The project was produced for Glasbar at Atelier NL, October 2017.
